Jennifer Lawrence, who won the Oscar for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook, says that her parents now have custody of the coveted gold statue.
The 22-year-old star told Access Hollywood that she felt odd keeping the Oscar award on display in her house so her parents took it with them to Kentucky, News.com.au reported.
Lawrence said that she initially tried putting it in an inconspicuous place - in her hallway towards the bathroom - but then her mother spotted it and told her off for it.
Her mother didn't want it to be placed there and hence took it with her and has reinstated it on a piano in Kentucky.
