Myanmar Vice President calls on PM Modi

Myanmar Vice President Dr. Sai Mawk Kham on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.

During the meet, Prime Minister Modi recalled his visit to Myanmar to attend ASEAN-India Summit and East Asia Summit in November and his meeting with President Thein Sein in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Prime Minister also welcomed the recent visit of Bodh Gayaby Dr. Kham and highlighted the importance of cultural ties and the civilization links between India and Myanmar.

The two leaders further discussed ways to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two nations in view of Prime Minister Modi's 'Act East' policy, particularly in the connectivity, education, infrastructure, trade, and culture sectors.

 

Later in the day, the Myanmar Vice President also called on President Pranab Mukherjee at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
