India's biggest fashion shopping sale, the fourth edition of Myntra's 'End of Reason sale' saw over two million orders placed by mid-day of day one of the two day weekend sale.

In the run up to the opening of the sale at 12 am on Saturday, around Rs. 700 crore worth of products were added to the wish list on Friday.

The wish list was a feature offered for the first time for preview of items to go on sale the next day. Also, the Myntra App was ranked number one on iOS in India across all categories.

Myntra and EORS were among the top searched items on Google and Twitter with search trends higher than Amazon, during the same period.

"The fourth edition of EORS has received phenomenal response so far. In the period since the sale started at midnight, we have seen installation of half a million Apps and over 25 million visits to our platform. So far, we have crossed two million orders and we expect that number to continue growing fast. We are quite confident of exceeding by 20x our daily sales target," said CEO Myntra, Ananth Narayanan.

"As always, the branded sports category has doing exceptionally well and branded sports sale has clocked 3X of what gets done per day! In effect, basis the current traction, we are likely to exceed all of offline sales put together for the top 5 men and women casual wear brands for the day," he added.

The fourth edition of EORS is being held on the July 2nd and 3rd. It brings an unprecedented opportunity for over 10 million shoppers across the country to buy the latest designs and styles from the world's leading brands.

EORS has emerged as the most sought after event in fashion industry in the country and is one of the most important properties of Myntra.

EORS breaks away from the traditional end of season sale format, which usually last for six to seven weeks.

In the span of just two days, shoppers can avail the best of fashion from the widest catalogue at prices never heard of.
