The flagship programme of the centenary celebrations of the University of Mysore is the 103rd Indian Science Congress to be held from January 3 to 7, which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Dignitaries who will be taking part in the inauguration are Union Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Science Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Vajubhayi Ruddbhala Vala , Governor of Karnataka, Chief minister Siddaramiah, and T B Jayachandra Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Higher Education .
Nearly 15000 delegates are expected to participate in this congregation.
The children's Science Congress will also be held on January 4, which will be inaugurated by Pranab Mukherjee President of India.
The women's science Congress will be inaugurated by Union Human Resource and Development Minister Smriti Irani on January 4.
