Ahead of the Italian open, Rafael Nadal believes that his tennis is on the right track and is not worried of not winning a spring clay-court title despite his loss in the finals of the Madrid Masters against Andy Murray.

With just 13 days to go for the French Open, the Spaniard insisted that he would try to have a good week in Rome, adding that it doesn't meaning to win but to perform well on each day, Sport24 reported.

Nadal said that the Italian Open would be a very tough tournament but will provide a good preparation for the French Open.

The 14-time Grand Slam champion is set to play in an 11th straight edition at the Foro Italico and has reached the finals nine times in his 10 visits.
