Recently crowned nine-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal has said that Wimbledon champion Andy Murray can benefit from his surprise decision to appoint former world number one Amelie Mauresmo as his new coach.

Nadal said that Murray, who defeated Frenchman Paul-Henri Mathieu 6-4, 6-4 comfortably under Mauresmo's guidance to reach the third round of his Queen's Club title defence, is already 27-year-old, so everybody knows what's better for him as the British number one's decision to appoint the Frenchwoman was met with curiosity.

According to Sport24, Nadal said that his friend and rival Murray is a great person and if he chose Mauresmo for now, it is because he thinks that she is the person he really needs and can help him more to find the goals and objectives he wants to achieve.

Nadal added that it is that it is something new to contract a woman for the men's Tour but in the end Mauresmo has great experience in the world of tennis and a great champion so he does not see a problem and feels that Murray would be fine.
