Nagpur's Muslim community seems to be in favour of celebrating International Yoga Day on June 21.
"Yoga Day is being celebrated on 21st June and no one should have objection with that. Yoga is not of any religion. If you see, the 'rozas' we keep is also a part of yoga. Yoga can be found in every religion," Riyaz Khan, a yoga practitioner, told ANI.
"Yoga should not be connected to any religion. It keeps the body fit and healthy. A person belonging to any religion can practice yoga," said Mohammad A. Khan, another yoga practitioner.
Another yoga practitioner, Shamshad Khan said, "Yoga is to keep one's body fit. We all will celebrate the International Yoga Day on 21st June will great happiness and promote it even more."
The first ever International Day of Yoga will be celebrated globally on June 21. In India, an hour-long programme will be held on Rajpath, and is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, cabinet ministers, members of parliament, bureaucrats, diplomats and foreign nationals.
In all, over 35,000 people are expected to take part in the event.

The Department of Post is bringing out a stamp on the International Day of Yoga, while the Ministry of Finance is bringing out coins of the denomination of Rs. 10 and Rs. 100.
Both the stamp and coins will be released on June 21, said External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj recently.
The AYUSH Ministry has written to states to celebrate the International Day of Yoga in a big way.
Over 11 lakh NCC Cadets will perform according to Common Yoga Protocol and about nine lakh members of Armed Police Forces will perform in their respective field units.
One NGO for each of the 651 districts have been invited for Yoga Training for one month so that they could be ready for the demonstration and seminar on June 21.
There would be live telecast and webcast of the event at Rajpath. Given the expected large participation at one place, the Ministry has applied to Guinness World Records for "Largest Yoga Demonstration/ Class at single venue".
