Napa has quashed the rumours that Mahesh Bhatt's play 'Daddy' will be cancelled in Pakistan.

Bhatt earlier said that there is an uncertainty over the staging of 'Daddy' at Napa's International Theatre Festival in Karachi, adding that one of their theatre groups has not been given visa to travel to Karachi for the festival, the Dawn reported.

Bhatt added that when he asked the host they said some bureaucratic procedure has resulted into this problem.

He noted that he and his daughter were supposed to travel to Karachi for their play, but if one of their own group from their country can't go, then they will also opt out as it is either all of them or no one.

However, festival director Zain Ahmed said that nothing had been confirmed and that while some visas had been delayed, Napa was in touch with authorities to expedite the process.

Ahmed added that no information is final and visas are in process.
