SSC Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed through Twitter that former Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez will be the new Napoli manager, replacing Walter Mazzarri.
Benitez left Chelsea following a successful tenure as interim manager during which he delivered the Champions League qualification and a Europa League Final victory, the Mirror reports.
According to the report, De Laurentiis tweeted a picture of him shaking hands with Benitez on his Twitter account, and wrote that Benitez who is a leader and has great international experience is the new coach of Napoli.
De Laurentiis also posted that Napoli is happy to welcome a prestigious coach and his coaching staff in their own family.
The Spaniard won the Champions League while at Liverpool in 2005 and the Europa League triumph was his second win in the competition after he won it with Valencia in 2004 before moving to Anfield, the report added.
