Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday, patted yoga guru Ramdev, saying, the issues raised by him were his own, and these were giving sleepless nights to many. He also gave hope that when the nation celebrates it 75th year of its independence then the country becomes transformed for all so that everyone lives happily.
Siding with the issues raised by Ramdev, Modi said he also felt the same about black money, corruption and poor governance in the country.
The BJP's prime ministerial candidate said if there was no "fire of truth" within Ramdev, then he would have run away long back.
"He has a fire within himself as to why bad things are happening in the country, why there is black money, why this corruption, why this bad governance?" Modi said during a Yoga Mahotsav organised at the Ram Leela grounds here.
"There is a pain behind all this as well. His issues are such which are liked by people like me. But there are many people whose sleep vanishes when he rakes up certain issues. So they get behind him," Modi added.
Modi paid his deepest respect to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru who laid down their lives for the country's freedom and asked people to make a resolve.
"We must pay respect to those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for liberating our country and resolve ourselves that when the nation completes its 75 years of independence, then we present a nation where every youth gets a job, the poor does not have to worry for a shelter, every home gets water, electricity, proper sanitation. Can't we even give this much to our poor brothers and see that our farmers doesn't have to worry for seeking water for his crops," Modi said.
