India's healthcare apex body NATHEALTH announced its new leadership team for the year 2016-17 today as it elected Rahul Khosla, President, Max Group and Chairman, Max India, Max Life and Max Healthcare as the president of the federation.
Speaking on emerging priorities Rahul Khosla said, "There are tremendous opportunities to improve infrastructure, talent, regional outreach and consistency in access, affordability and quality of the Indian healthcare ecosystem."
"The government and private healthcare providers need to work in tandem to develop a cohesive blueprint for healthcare provision and funding," Rahul added.
Addressing the house, he said that at NATHEALTH, we have established a unique collaborative platform to progress healthcare as a priority sector, we look forward to developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to achieve the vision of universal and consistent healthcare in India.
"We welcome our new leadership team which will continue to work for the benefit of the people of our great country, address relevant healthcare issues and champion the progress and development of this sector," said Secretary General-NATHEALTH, Anjan Bose.
Other members of NATHEALTH Leadership Team are (Hony) Brig. Dr Arvind Lal, Chairman and MD, Dr. Lal PathLabs Ltd., who is elected as Senior Vice President-NATHEALTH, Milan Rao, President and CEO, India and South Asia, GE Healthcare and MD, Wipro GE Healthcare Pvt Ltd was elected as Vice President-NATHEALTH, Varun Khanna, Managing Director, BD elected as Secretary-NATHEALTH and Daljit Singh, President, Fortis Healthcare Limited elected as Treasurer-NATHEALTH.
This team along with Anjan Bose, Secretary General, NATHEALTH will lead the federation towards its goal of creating a robust platform for long term growth and sustainability of India's healthcare sector.
