Maharashtra Police have reportedly stated that Naxals have killed an abducted youth, Ravindra Shankar Sunkri, to take revenge for the exchange of fire which took place during a search operation undertaken by the former.
The gun battle with the police in a forest near village Asha had left some of the Naxals injured.
The Naxals had abducted the youth, who hails from Kolsegudam village of Gadchiroli district, on suspicion that he was a police informer.
