"This exclusion of extending invitation to Jammu and Kashmir speaker is something exceptional. They had no reason to do that. Even if they have some differences or some claims which may be pending," Memon told ANI.

"Pakistan is incorrect in its approach, but they still can rectify it. India has rightly boycotted the meeting," he added.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan announced yesterday that India has decided to boycott the Commonwealth Speakers' conference in protest against Pakistan's decision not to invite the Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly.

Pakistan invited representatives of all the Indian states to the conference starting September 30 but no such invitation was sent to Jammu and Kashmir Speaker Kavinder Gupta.
