The National Commission for Women (NCW) will organise a one-day stakeholder consultation on November 17 in Delhi to review the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition And Redressal) Act, 2013.

The NCW, as per its mandate, has been reviewing legal safeguards for women and recommending remedial legislative measures.

In compliance with its mandate and considering the recent spurt in sexual harassment reported in the media, the Commission has decided to take up the review of the Act, with a view to examine whether existing provisions of the Act require any amendment.

Experts on the subject including retired Justice Sujata V. Manohar, retired Justice G. Rohini, retired Justice M.N. Rao, advocate Flavia Agnes and various other stakeholders will participate in the consultation.
