NDA Govt. allocates Rs.200 crores for 'Statue of Unity'

An amount of Rs.200 crores has been allocated by the NDA Government for the erection of a Statue of Unity.

Presenting his maiden budget in the Lok Sabha today, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the Government of Gujarat has embarked upon the mission to build the largest statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

Sardar Patel stands as a symbol of unity of the country. Jaitley said that the sum of Rs. 200 crores is being set aside to support the Gujarat Government in this initiative.
