Taking a jibe at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart Lal Krishna Advani's statement that his party will achieve a record victory in the 2014 general elections, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said secular forces in this country would never allow the saffron outfit to come to power.

"Advani and his disciple Narendra Modi can never become the Prime Minister in seven lives. The secular forces in this country, though we are scattered, will not let it happen," he said.

Advani earlier in the day said the BJP will achieve a record victory in the 2014 general elections.

Advani claimed that the mood of the country is in favour of the BJP.

"I don't think it has ever happened that opinion polls have been in our favour so much as they are now. We will break all records," he said.

Infighting is presently on within the BJP as to who should be the party's prime ministerial candidate in 2014.
