The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Wednesday condemned the alleged rape of two Nepalese women by a Saudi diplomat in Gurgaon.

NCP leader Tariq Anwar said the External Affairs Ministry should firmly put its stand before the Government of Saudi Arab with regard to this case.

"Diplomatic laws are applicable for the diplomats. I believe law will take its own course and the External Affairs Ministry will take a decision on this and tell the Government of Saudi Arab that this is wrong," Anwar told ANI.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has sought a detailed report from the Gurgaon Police in the case.

"We are seeking details from the local police," MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.
