Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra, who has been roped in as the brand ambassador for Harayana's 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' campaign, feels fortunate to have been brought up in a family who gave equal priority to both the genders.
The 'Ishaqzaade' star said in an event about how her family had much more faith in her as compared to her male counter parts.
The 26-years-old actress said, "I have never been treated as a girl in the cliched sense and I am so proud about it because I am living my dream which is only because of people around me, friends and family, who saw me as a strong girl."
Further, the actress said that she genuinely feels for the cause and also that it is really important for the men to stand up and support women to achieve what they want.
Parineeti, who hasn't appeared on screen since 'Kill Dil', will reportedly be starring in another project by 'Hasee toh Phasee' director, Vinil Mathew.
