Johnny Cash's estate is set to release a never-before-heard music album he had recorded with Billy Sherrill in the early 1980s.
The songs in the 'Out Among the Stars' album, which were stashed by the American singer-songwriter and his wife, June Carter Cash, were never released by Columbia Records, which then disappeared when the company dropped him in 1986, Fox News reported.
The music being released, which was found last year by his son John Carter Cash and archivists at Legacy Recordings, was recorded during the time when the 'I Walk The Line' singer was going through a difficult phase both personally and professionally.
The album, which consists of 12 tracks, including a duet with Waylon Jennings and two with June, will be released on March 25, 2014.
