Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has been accused of copying the oratory skills of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler in a new book.

According to Daily Express, London mayor Boris Johnson has claimed in his new biography on Winston Churchill that Blair owes part of his success to copying the speech technique of Hitler.

He said that Blair, similar to Hitler, took long, excruciating pauses before speaking.

The Mayor also mentioned how Hitler would begin his speech softly and with "arms folded" before uncoiling his limbs as his "voice starts to rise".

He described how Hitler always had some paper on the table to which he hardly referred and seemed as if he was speaking without notes.

Johnson said that the technique, which later became highly influential, was copied by many including Tony Blair.
