Google has developed a new app for those who do a lot of work on mobile devices.

The app, QuickOffice, differs from Google's other major office productivity app such as Google Drive in some small but important ways.

The main appeal of the app is that it works with Microsoft Office file formats, even if they're not stored on Google Drive, the Washington Post reports.

The free app lets users create and edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your iPhone and iPad.

Also if a user wants to get e-mail with a Microsoft Office file you want to edit, you can open it in QuickOffice right from the attachment.

QuickOffice has a stronger editor than Google Docs and has an easy interface that makes it simple to use.
