Italy's Populist Government today won a confidence vote in the upper chamber of Parliament.
The lower chamber of parliament will vote on Wednesday.
Through the Senate's endorsement, the alliance between the anti-establishment Five Star Movement and right-wing Lega gained 171 votes in favor, 117 against and 25 abstentions, as per Sputnik.
On March 4, the Italian parliamentary election was held.
The center-right coalition, consists of the Lega party, Forza Italia and the Brothers of Italy movement, got 37 percent of the vote.
The Democratic Party got 20 percent of the vote.
None of the parties obtained a majority, required to form a one-party government.
