A new app for iPhone allows users to cross-post to various social media websites at once, including a user's own website.

The Postcard app functions by allowing users to set any one social network as the content's host.

For example, if a user has multiple Twitter accounts, Postcard could allow the user to tweet from one account while other accounts re-tweet the post, Tech Crunch reports.

Postcard is beneficial for those whose job likely involves social media management of some sort.

According to the report, the app also allows users to have post-by-post control over what is shared across websites, including posting to sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or LinkedIn and one's own website.

The WordPress plugin for Postcard features the "Custom Network" option which lets developers configure any web server to receive content via the Postcard API.

Designed by Kyle Newsome, a WordPress blogger himself, Postcard is a free download with support for 3 networks and users can maximize the limit for additional support to 2,5 or unlimited networks for a charge of 0.99 dollars, 2.99 dollars and 4.99 dollars respectively.
