New tell-all book reveals tyrants' dinner table secrets

A new book has revealed the food habits of the 20th century's great tyrants, including Saddam Hussein, Joseph Stalin and Hitler among many others.

According to 'Dictators' Dinners', North Korea's Kim Il-sung had all his rice grains individually selected and created an institute whose sole purpose was to devise ways of prolonging his life, the Guardian reported.

While, Romanian Communist party boss Nicolae Ceausescu irritated foreign leaders he visited by bringing all his food with him and Tito loved nothing so much as a slice of warm pig fat.

The book also revealed that Adolf Hitler, Mao Zedong and Benito Mussolini - found the stress of the gigantic responsibilities they had taken upon themselves took a heavy toll on their digestive systems and that Antonio Salazar lunched on fish-bone soup and would not take butter on his toast.
