Times Company chairman has reportedly declared that the company is not for sale amidst sale of The Washington Post to Amazon's founder.
According to the Huffington Post, chairman Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and vice chairman Michael Golden said that The Time is not for sale and the trustees of the Ochs-Sulzberger Trust and the rest of the family are commitment to work together to lead The New York Times forward into future.
The Washington Post was sold to Amazon's Jeff Bezos, ending four generations of family ownership and has sparked speculations about the future of the Times.
The report said that although The New York Times Company's finances appear to be stable, it sold the Boston Globe to Boston Red Sox owner John Henry on Saturday.
