Afghanistan's President Ashraf Ghani has said that the next round of reconciliatory talks between his government and the Taliban will take place in 15 days or a maximum of three weeks.

President Ghani, who was on a visit to eastern Khost province on Wednesday to meet the families of victims of Sunday's deadly suicide bombing that left 27 civilians dead, said 'peace' was desired by all people, adding that the recently concluded dialogue with Taliban was a great achievement over the past decade, reported Tolo News.

"We tried for 14 years to have peace negotiations started but we failed," said President Ghani.

He called on the 'Taliban brothers' to list their concerns and demands in the next round of peace talks, adding that there wasn't any issue in the world that could not be resolved through dialogue.
