Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad launched the E-Greetings Portal of National Informatics Centre (NIC) from his residence here on Thursday.
Prasad said, "I warmly congratulate my IT department and all the officers for coming up with this noble idea of having this kind of IT greetings card, which basically is in consonance with the larger commitment of Prime Minister to ensure that there is a proper IT revolution in India followed by connectivity".
"What a better idea for connectivity than to have an e - greetings on the 15th August being created with the larger corporation of the people of India through crowd - sourcing", he added.
Congratulating the team, he said, "It is a great occasion, I warmly compliment them, the entire team and I wish not only the government, ministers and the officers but the people of India who would warmly use this new e-greetings on the 15th of August to show their commitment of a new resurgent India propelled by digital connectivity".
