Nick Cannon has reportedly filed for divorce from estranged wife Mariah Carey, more than six months after they confirmed their marriage is over.
The 344-year-old artist filed divorce papers on December 12, one week after they thrashed out an adequate settlement, TMZ.com reported.
The date was relevant because on December 2 and the separation was contentious, as Carey was reportedly three-hours late for a December taping of a Rockefeller Center Christmas tree special because she was engaged in a five-hour call with attorneys over not only property but the couple's children.
The couple surprised fans with a secret wedding in the Bahamas in 2008, after a six-week courtship.
