The uplifting of ban on Nigella Lawson from entering New Zealand has caused uproar.

Immigration New Zealand said that the 54-year-old TV personality, who was initially banned from the country after she admitted using drugs was given a special visa so she could make a TV advert for Whittaker's Chocolate, Daily Star reported.

The decision was disapproved by many people online, including one where a web user said that the favouritism shown to someone who knows the right people is disgraceful.

New Zealand has tough immigration laws that bars anyone who has already been banned from countries such as the US, and the celebrity chef had been stopped by British Airways flight to Los Angeles last month after she had confessed to have used cocaine and cannabis in court.
