A Nigerain national was arrested on Wednesday in Goa's Calangute, while selling narcotics substance Ganja at Baga.
The man, identified as Emmanuel Chinedu Oraznavle, was a resident of Morjim, Pernem.
In a bid to crack the whip on drug activities Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi himself, along with staff, was on patrolling when the suspected Nigerian was noticed on scooter.
Accordingly Dalvi alerted the staff along with him and tried to nab the accused.
However the accused Nigerian made full efforts to flee from the spot but the police managed to apprehend the accused.

Further the raid was conducted and the accused confessed to be selling drugs and was found in possession of 29 grams of Ganja.
The scooter bearing number GA 03 Q 6520 was also seized by the police.
Calangute Police have also verified the place of stay of the Nigerian at Morjim, Pernem and as the Nigerian is not in possession with valid visa a report is sent to Pernem police station for necessary action under the provisions of Foreigners Act.
Also a report is sent against the owner of Jasmine Beach Resort Morjim for not filling up the C form of the foreign national.
Dalvi has stated,"no any person involved in drugs will be spared and strict action will be taken for possession of drugs "
Further investigation in the matter is in progress.
