Nishikori rolls into Miami Open quarters

Asian number one Kei Nishikori displayed a resilient performance as he romped into the quarterfinals of the Miami Open after sweeping aside Roberto Bautista Agut of Spain in straight sets on Wednesday.

The sixth-seed eased past his Spaniard opponent 6-2, 6-4 in their last-16 clash that lasted for one hour and 24 minutes.

Meanwhile, Australian controversial tennis star Nick Kyrgios also stormed into the quarterfinals after beating Russia's Andrey Kuznetsov 7-6 (7-3), 6-3.

In the women's singles event, Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber and Indian Wells winner Victoria Azarenka will look for the semi-final berth when they take on their respective opponents later today.
