Nissan inaugurates regional parts distribution centre for North India

Nissan inaugurated its new regional parts distribution centre at Luhari in Gurgaon District.

This move will help reduce delivery-lead time to Nissan customers in North India by up to nine days and aid dealers reduce the space reserved for spare parts.

"Our new regional parts distribution centre significantly strengthens our after sales operations in north India," said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL).

The new regional centre will comprise of separate office and canteen blocks, the facility's material storage area shall comprise heavy duty racking, shelving racks, stillages and trolleys, while state-of-the-art forklifts and reach trucks will be used for parts handling.

 

In addition to the distribution centre, NMIPL has also launched a new, multi-depot software system to ensure smooth parts transfer and order completion.

"We believe strongly that after sales service is the key to customer satisfaction and punctual, quick and efficient delivery of parts is an important contributor to this. The new facility will allow faster and more frequent deliveries, increasing the convenience for our customers", he added.

This regional parts distribution centre shall also employ 57 people.
