Nissan is recalling 133,000 Micras in Britain after the company discovered a glitch in the steering wheels of one of its models.

Micras made in Sunderland between December 2002 and May 2006 are part of the global recall.

According to the Mirror, the Japanese car giant said drivers affected should take their car to a dealer for the bolt to be tightened or the wheel replaced.

Last month, Nissan recalled 480,000 cars worldwide, including 59,000 in Britain, after an airbag fault was found on several models including the Patrol, Almera and Navara, the report added.
