Union Minister Rajeev Pratap Rudy on Wednesday said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had come to the national capital as he was facing a crunch in terms of garnering votes.
"When the chief minister should go among the people and tell people about his achievements, he (Nitish) prefers to visit Delhi because he is facing a shortage of votes in Bihar. So, he prefers to come to Delhi," said Rudy.
"Today he is meeting people who were forced to go out of the state (Bihar) and are now living in Delhi. This was because of the duo (Lalu-Nitish), millions of laborers from were forced to migrate to different parts of the country. This was due to their Jungle Raj" he added.
Rudy also slammed Nitish Kumar's decision of inviting Kejriwal to Bihar, saying "Kejriwal has betrayed the people of Delhi and the common people are repenting that they voted him to power, and he (Nitish) expects he can win Bihar with his (Kejriwal's) help."
Nitish Kumar was in Delhi to attend the 'Bihar Samman Sammelan' as chief guest. The event was organized by the Delhi Government in an attempt to help Kumar connect with the Delhi-based Bihar voter.
Kejriwal and 11 AAP leaders with roots in Bihar organized the event in New Delhi to felicitate Nitish and pledge their support to him for the elections. The two leaders will also work out a schedule for holding and addressing joint public meetings.
