Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's formal entry in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has silenced the critiques who questioned the newly stitched partnership.
Paswan said that by joining hands with the NDA, Nitish has shut all mouths who claimed that rift erupted in Janata Dal United [JD-U] post breakup of the grand alliance.
"This move has strengthened the NDA. Now, there is no competition for us in Bihar," said Paswan.
JD(U) on Saturday passed a resolution to join the NDA during the party's national executive meeting chaired by Nitish Kumar.
The political move that makes the ruling party in Bihar officially an ally of the NDA at the Centre comes after Nitish broke ties with the Grand Alliance parties - Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal - in Bihar and re-formed the government in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
