NMRC completes first phase of construction on Noida- Greater Noida Metro Corridor

The construction of Noida-Greater Noida Metro Corridor consisting of 30 kilometres of viaduct and 21 stations is in full swing. In line with this, the casting of concourse level slab at Sector-143 station has been started on Friday and approximately 600 cubic meter RMC will be poured continuously for 24 hours.

"The structural work of this station is expected to be over by Aug'16. The casting of concourse level slab of Sector-71, Delta and Sector-149 will also take place within a week's time. The casting of concourse level slab has been done in a record time of eight months which normally takes more than a year in a Design and Built construction," said Noida Authority's Deputy CEO Saumya Srivastava, who holds additional charge as Executive Director of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC).

 

"The structural work of all the 21 metro stations is expected to be completed by March'17. The work of viaduct is also moving on a fast track as approximately piles for 15 kms, pile cap of 9 kms and Pier for 5 kms has already been completed and complete viaduct of 30 kms and 21 stations is expected to be completed by May'2017," he added.
