Tamil Nadu Minister for Dairy Development K. T. Rajendra Balaji on Saturday said no harm can come to the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) as long Prime Minister Narendra Modi supports it.
He also expressed confidence about Chief Minister K Palaniswami's camp getting the 'two leaves' symbol.
"We need not to fear anyone as we have Prime Minister Modi with us. Nobody can do anything to our party. He'll look into all things, two leaves symbol will come to us," Balaji said at a party meeting in Andipatti late on Friday night.
"Ninety Eight per cent of AIADMK council members, 46 MPs and majority of MLAs are with us. On top of that, a leader in Delhi is with us," he said.
The Election Commission had on March 23 frozen the party name and the 'two leaves' symbol after factions led by Sasikala and former chief minister O. Panneerselvam staked separate claims to them months after the death of party supremo J. Jayalalithaa.
On August 21, AIADMK factions led by Palaniswami and Panneerselvam merged.
