Despite reaching the World Cup semifinals, no Indian players have been featured in the BBC's list of team XI of the tournament.

Test Match Special experts, featuring Jonathan Agnew, Michael Vaughan, Vic Marks and Jim Maxwell, have chosen Brendan McCullum as their team skipper, the BBC reported.

While McCullum and compatriot Martin Guptill have been selected as the opening pair, Kumar Sangakkara (Wicketkeeper) of Sri Lanka, Steve Smith of Australia and AB de Villiers of South Africa formed a robust middle-order line-up.

Australia's Glenn Maxwell and New Zealand's Corey Anderson have been chosen as the all-rounders of the team.

Whereas, the bowling unit consists of veteran spinner Daniel Vettori, pace bowlers Trent Boult, Mitchell Starc and Morne Morkel.
