Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that lack of majority in the Rajya Sabha has made it difficult for the BJP-led government at the Centre to enact law for construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
"You are aware that we don't have majority in the Rajya Sabha," said Singh.
"I don't answer hypothetical questions," he added when asked whether the BJP will bring the motion for a Ram temple if it gets a majority in Rajya Sabha.
Construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya was one of the promises made by the BJP in its manifesto for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
