The Congress Party on Friday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was over intoxicated with power and there was no medicine that could cure it.

"This parliament session has proved that the Bharatiya Janata Party doesn't believe in consensus and democracy. There are various forms of inebriation. The BJP is intoxicated with power, so much that no medicine can cure it," senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad told the media here.

"The economic growth is the foundation of this nation. It doesn't happen with one or two bills," he added.

The recently concluded Monsoon session proved to be a complete washout as the Parliament was yesterday adjourned sine die.

The government that is keen to ensure passage of GST bill, has kept the option of reconvening the session with the Cabinet Committee, open.
