The Meteorological Department on Saturday said no rainfall is expected for the next four to five days in Jammu and Kashmir.

"We do not expect rain in the next four to five days. In the last 24-hours Jammu and Kashmir has not received heavy rainfall," B.P. Yadav, the director of MeT Department, told ANI.

"Although, light to moderate rainfall is still continuing," he added.

There is some respite for the residents in Kashmir Valley as all the rivers are flowing below the danger mark.

The relief and rescue operations teams are in place for quick deployment where needed.

The flood situation is being constantly monitored by latest satellite technology at the National Remote Sensing Centre.

The state government had earlier last week declared the region flooded after two days of continuous rains caused the waters of the Jhelum River to surge over the danger mark.
