Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said that a case had been registered against people who had waved an Islamic State (IS) flag in Kashmir last week, but added that no terror links had been found so far.
"A case has been registered against those waving the ISIS flags. However, till now, no terror links have been found. But, all the details will be revealed after the enquiry," said Abdullah.
Abdullah denied the presence of IS elements in the state and stated that the waving of the flag was an act by "some idiots" that "unfortunately" caught the media's attention.
On October 14, visuals of a stone pelting ritual in Srinagar appeared on television, where the stone pelters also waved Islamic State (IS), also known as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) flags alongside a Pakistani flag.
