Pakistani activist Malala Yousufzai, the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize winner, asked children in her homeland to stand up for their right to avail education.
She made the statement while addressing a thousand schoolchildren via a video link at a special event on Tuesday in the main northwestern city of Peshawar to celebrate her Nobel Prize, reported News 24.
Yousufzai survived a fatal head injury after being shot by Taliban assailants for supporting children's education nearly two years ago.
