Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney reportedly received a trophy by a noodle company as they awarded him their 'man of the munch' trophy after hearing about his 2,000 pound order last year.
Pot Noodles delivered more than 100 pots of the new Brazilian BBQ Steak Flavoured snack to Wayne's house after he was chosen by Roy Hodgson for England's World Cup squad so that he could be a 'winner' before he even touches a ball in Brazil.
According to the Daily Star, Pot Noodle Marketing Manager Monique Rossi said that they do not know what the future holds for the England squad out in Rio but at least the striker will walk away with one trophy this year after the noodle company gave Wayne a trophy for being 'Pot Noodle Man of the Munch'.
Rossi said that they know that the England striker would be under huge pressure out in Brazil so they wanted to send him off a winner.
Pot Noodle reportedly decided to offer Wayne the tasty surprise after they heard about his 2,000-pound order of Pot Noodles and drinks at Glastonbury last year.
Rossi added that with enough Brazilian BBQ Steak Flavour Pot Noodle last the striker the entire tournament, they know that Wayne would come home with a sweet taste in his mouth, no matter what.
The striker was later invited to become a chief taster for the noodle brand, the report added.
