North Korea has condemned the U.S. President Barack Obama describing him as "reckless" in his actions like "a monkey in a tropical forest" over the net outage in the country two days before the release of the controversial comedy The Interview.

According to BBC, the National Defence Commission (NDC) also criticized the U.S. for the release of the film The Interview, which shows a fictional plot to assassinate the leader of North Korea Kim Jong-un, saying that it forced Sony Pictures to "indiscriminately distribute the movie".

Sony Pictures earlier pulled out the movie after a cyber attack and threats to moviegoers that was criticized by Obama.

The controversial comedy was finally screened in some independent U.S. cinemas on Christmas Day and is available online.

North Korea's NDC spokesman also said that the movie was dishonest, reactionary and hurtful to the dignity of the leader of North Korea.
