North Korea threatens to conduct fresh nuclear test

Two days after South Korea said that Pyongyang was making final preparations to conduct its fourth nuclear test, North Korea has reportedly issued another nuclear threat.

According to Huffington Post and as reported by the North's official Korean Central News Agency, North Korea has clarified its resolute stand that it would take countermeasures including nuclear test to protect the sovereignty and dignity of the country.

Recent Satellite imagery unveiled ongoing activities at North Korea's nuclear test site, including movement of possible vehicles, trucks and containers, the Institute for Science and International Security think tank said in a report on Saturday.

South Korean Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin on Thursday said that North Korea was making final preparations to conduct its fourth nuclear test.

 

The report added that Seoul has warned that Pyongyang would face serious consequences if it conducts a nuclear test.
