Anders Behring Breivik, convicted for bombing eight people near a government building in Oslo in 2011 and opening fire on a youth camp, has reportedly renounced violence.
According to The Daily Star, Breivik's lawyer, Tor Jordet said on Tuesday that his client does not support violence and also discourages others from carrying out acts of violence.
The 35-year old prisoner's statement came on the third anniversary of the Norway killings, which was dubbed the worst since World War II.
Breivik had earlier justified his case by saying that the mass massacre was cruel but necessary to save Europe from Islam and multiculturalism. He was diagnosed with a serious personality disorder and was sentenced to 21 years in prison, Norway's maximum sentence. However, he is likely to spend the rest of his life behind bars because of the threat he poses to society, the report added.
