Defence expert P.K.Sehgal on Thursday said that he has not much expectation from the Director General-level talks between India's Border Security Forces (BSF) and Pakistan's Rangers (PR), although it is a step in the right direction.

"Personally I am very happy that Major Burki, along with 15 members delegation have come to India. Many people thought that these talks will also fail just like the NSA-level talks. Although nothing very much will come out of the talks but the fact that they are sitting together for three days is a step in the right direction," Sehgal told ANI.

"There is huge mutual accusation. It is Pakistan which is encouraging infiltration. Pakistan is very keen to internationalise the situation. Pakistan is insisting that India declare a unilateral ceasefire and as soon as we accept this, it is tantamount to the acceptance to the fact that ceasefire violations are encouraged by us. This is a big mischief by Pakistan," Sehgal added.

The Director General-level talks between India's BSF and Pakistan's Rangers (PR) is be held in New Delhi from September 10 to September 13.

BSF Director General D.K. Pathak will meet his counterpart PR chief Major General Umar Farooq Burki to discuss the controversial issues between the two forces.
