Oscar winning "not-so-white" actress Mo'Nique has come up with her criticism against #OscarSoWhite controversy and Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith's plans to boycott the Academy Awards.
The 48-year-old actress, who previously won 'Oscar' for 'Best Supporting Actress' in 2010 after starring in Lee Daniel's 'Precious', has questioned the Smiths' timing, asking if "we are standing up now cause it's in your backyard?" reportsNews.com.au.
'The Parkers' actress dubbed the boycott as being about a trophy instead of focusing on the "bigger picture".
In an interview, Mo'Nique said that Will is one of the few multi-million dollar actors "that is of colour, he is one of the few."
The Smiths spoke out last week in protest against the lack of black nominees for the 88th Academy Awards after Will was snubbed for his performance in 'Concussion.
