Three ATM manufacturing companies are reportedly coming up with ATM's for virtual currency Bitcoin.
While two of them are capable of dispensing Bitcoin, the third model that is about the size of a vending machine has been made by a Las Vegas based start-up company Robocoin and can dispense US dollars as well.
According to the Verge, there are now at least four of them in Austin, one in Vancouver, and one in Edmonton, all of which were installed in the last three weeks with more scheduled to pop up soon.
Meanwhile, in order to operate the ATM, Bitcoin owners will have to submit their phone number, a PIN, a government ID, a palm vein scan, and let it take their photos to comply with anti-money laundering laws that require money services businesses to keep certain records on their customers.
